About Us

15 PLACE is a day shelter, serving as a one-stop center for offering services to the homeless. The shelter offers a hot lunch every weekday and breakfast on weekends. In addition, 15 PLACE offers showers, laundry facilities, transportation assistance, computer access, clothing, hygiene items, a telephone and mail privileges. Multiple agencies are on-site and available to provide immediate assistance and case management services that could end the homeless status of some individuals and families. 15 PLACE also partners with the following organizations to offer intervention: Franklin Primary Health Center, the Salvation Army, the Waterfront Rescue Mission, Penelope House, the Alabama Employment Service, the Service Center of Catholic Social Services, the VA, the University of South Alabama College of Nursing Wellness Center, Alta Pointe Mental Health and the United Methodist Inner City Mission. 15 Place is available to any homeless person or family, including transients.

Our Mission

15 PLACE, the multi-service center of Mobile will proactively combat homelessness by partnering with the community to provide a comprehensive, accessible array of services to empower the homeless to work toward their optimum level of self-sufficiency in an affirming, safe, supportive and non-threatening environment.
